This is a listing of major projects that Aventi Technology – Oil & Gas has participated in and a short resume of work and responsibilities undertaken.
Statoil – Grane platform (2009 – current)
- Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineer
One compressors drive LM2500+ DLE and two power generators drives LM2500+ DLE and SAC. Redoing logic and interface and de-bottleneck of gas turbines. Improved reliability of gas turbines.
Statoil – Melkøya Plant (2004 – current)
(4 engineers during project phase, 2 engineers for operational support)
Lead and Specialist Rotating Equipment Engineers (3 positions)
- Commissioning, start-up and tuning of heavy rotating equipment.
- Commissioning and start-up of 5x46MW LM6000 DLE gas turbines Nuevo Pignone).
- Commissioning and start-up of compressors.
- Nuevo Pignone cooling compressors: 2x64MW and 1x34MW with electrical VSDS drives.
- Siemens Compressors: 1x27MW with electrical VSDS driver and other single speed compressors.
Specialist Electrical Engineer
- Commissioning and start-up of Power Management System, including GTGs, large VSDs and grid.
- Power generation & distribution, national grid interface and operational support.
- Follow up Power Management System (ECSS).
- Investigation of black-outs and implement improvements.
Gassco (2008 – current)
- Senior Advisor Rotating Equipment and Energy Systems
Feasibility Studies of Compressor Systems and Energy Systems (Steam Boilers, Power Plants and Combined Heat and Power Plants). Specifications for Compressor and Energy Systems. Technical Reviews, Project technical support and R&D projects.
Statoil – Kårstø Plant, CY2008 and KEP2010 (2007 – current)
- Specialist rotating equipment engineer
Re-wheeling of compressor (CY2008) and upgrading of control system and instrumentation for 7 compressors (KEP2010).Engineering of SCDs (Norsok) for new anti-surge control in DCS system. Commissioning and start-up.
- Instrument Lead F&G and Utilities Upgrade
Statoil – Visund platform (2006 – 2009)
- Senior rotating equipment engineer
Gas turbine LM2500 DLE and LM2500 SAC. Redoing logic and interface and de-bottleneck of gas turbines. Improved reliability of gas turbines.
Aker Solutions – Skarv Development Project FPSO, BP (2007 – 2010)
- Senior instrument engineer
IT responsible for philosophy and design. Hardware responsible SAS. Documentation, technical solutions and HW FAT. Punch items and verification on site.
ABB, Ormen Lange (Statoil project, Shell plant, 2003 – 2006)
- DCS engineer
Internal and FAT testing of 15 000 i/o. Key person for F&G test. Coordination of hardware changes and coordination between customer and suppliers. SAS change coordinator during commissioning. Hardware lead during commissioning
M.W. Kellogg Ltd., Kårstø Expansion Project 2005 (Statoil project, 2003 – 2005)
- Rotating equipment engineer
Engineering in London and engineering, commissioning, start-up and dynamic testing at Kårstø. Rotating equipment and process control. Turbo expander with magnetic bearings (GE Rotoflow), sales gas compressor with 40 MW electric motor (Dresser-Rand), 2 boilers (Foster Wheeler and Mitsui-Babcock). Upgrading existing compressors for running them in parallel. Propane refrigeration compressors (7 MW el. Motor) and ethane overhead compressors (steam driven).
General Electric, Power Gas Turbines (2001 – 2003)
- Rotating equipment engineer
New general commissioning procedure for GE Norway with automatic generating of component test sheets from i/o-list. Follow-up, engineering and approval of documentation and equipment for El Paso. Commissioning of Teco (Virginia, USA) with 4 additional LM6000PC turbines. Senior commissioning engineer El Paso (Macaé, Brasil) with 20 LM6000PC Gas Turbines (The world’s largest aero derivative gas turbine power plant). Responsible control, electro, vibration monitoring, loop-test, start-up and design changes on site. Trouble shooting during operation.
Naturkraft (2000 – 2004)
- Production of Invitation to Tender and evaluation of candidates for the building of a Combined Cycle Power Plant. Development of a technical and commercial concept for a Combined Heat & Power Plant at Kårstø.
Dresser-Rand AS, Gas Turbine Power Generation (2000 – 2001)
- Rotating equipment instrument engineer
Hot loop test, and start-up of 3 LM6000 DLE (50 MW) power turbines in France.
